What the challenge is about

namuk is a children’s outdoor clothing brand, born in the Swiss Alps. And we have one mission: We want to help children roam free and experience nature with all their senses. Today and tomorrow.

Did you know that, on average, children in Switzerland spend less than 90 minutes a day outside? This was revealed by our study last year. At the same time, topics such as mental health, screen time, exercise, and sleep quality are getting more and more attention.

We are launching the namuk Outdoor Challenge 2025, because we want to play our part and encourage children and families to spend more time outdoors and enjoy unforgettable experiences in nature in their everyday lives and leisure time.

Important notes

Your safety is important to us:

  • The namuk Outdoor Challenge 2025 is not a test of courage – The focus is firmly on fun and discovery.
  • Safety always comes first – Every family is responsible for what they do on their adventures.
  • Remember age and ability – Choose suitable activities and build up slowly from there.
  • Never set off alone – It’s always safest to go off with friends or family.
  • Use the right equipment – Make sure you have sturdy shoes, weatherproof clothing, and enough to drink. And always check your equipment (bikes, helmets, etc.) carefully.

Rules to follow:

  • Stay on the paths – Especially in fields and meadows.
  • Help protect nature – Just admire flowers instead of picking them.
  • Respect the wildlife – Observe them from afar without making any noise; wild animals are very shy.
  • Look after protected areas – Follow the local rules.
  • Only light fires where permitted – Play it safe, and only light fires at the designated spots
  • Don't leave any waste behind – Take everything home with you.
