Jumping on a Trampoline
Jumping on a Trampoline

Maybe you have a trampoline in your backyard, or you know of one in the neighborhood that’s just waiting to be used. Time to put it to good use. Hop and jump as high as you can. But remember – safety first! Make sure there’s plenty of space around the trampoline, and if you’re jumping with friends, make sure you always jump one after the other. During your jumping sessions, an adult should always be nearby to supervise. With the right precautions, jumping can be tons of fun – and maybe you’ll even try a new trick!

Playing Hide n’ Seek
Playing Hide n’ Seek

Have you ever played hide-and-seek in the forest? Today is the perfect day to try. Find a spot outside with your friends or family – it could be the woods, a park, or even a garden. One person counts while the others hide behind trees, rocks, or tall grass. Nature becomes your playground. But be careful – the best hiding spots are the ones you find by staying quiet and looking closely. You might even spot an animal that’s playing its own game of hide-and-seek! And if you get found? No worries – you’ll have another turn soon.

Today, it’s off to the playground! Grab your friends or family and get ready for an adventure. There’s so much to discover on a playground – climb up high, balance across shaky bridges, or race down the slide at full speed. Imagine the sandbox is a treasure island and you’re a daring pirate, or that the swing will take you up to the clouds. Every playground tells a new story. Today, you’re a circus performer – tomorrow, a climbing expert. Find your favorite spot, let your imagination run free, and make the most of your day outside.

Play Kubb (Viking chess)
Play Kubb (Viking chess)

Are you up for an exciting adventure in your garden? Build your own game of Kubb! You’ll need 10 wooden blocks (about 15 cm tall), 6 sticks (around 30 cm long), and one King (a bit bigger – about 25 cm). Now for the fun part: paint the blocks in your favorite colors – the brighter, the better. Set up five blocks in a row on each side, with the King standing in the middle. The goal? Use your sticks to knock over your opponent’s blocks. But be careful – the King must stay standing until all of your opponent’s blocks are down. Only then can you try for the final shot. The first player to knock over the King wins the game. A perfect way to spend time outdoors – so grab your materials and let the battle begin!

Playing “The Floor is Lava”
Playing “The Floor is Lava”

This game is all about imagination: Picture the ground outside turning into bubbling, fiery lava. If you touch it, you’ll melt instantly – so quick, jump onto the nearest rock. From there, leap from stone to stone, branch to branch, or any other safe island you can find. But be careful – if your feet touch the lava, you’re out. Who can stay safe the longest? You can play this game anywhere, as many times as you like, and even make up your own rules to make it even more exciting. But don’t forget – real adventurers stay cautious: Look carefully before you climb up or jump down. That’s the only way to make it safely through the lava field.

Sack Race
Sack Race

Ready for a wild race? All you need are a few old burlap sacks (big enough for you to fit inside) and you’re good to go. Jump into your sack, get ready at the starting line, and then it’s on your marks, get set, hop. The race to the finish is full of crazy jumps, funny landings, and so much laughter you might just fall over. Who will reach the finish line first? If you want to make the race even more exciting, add some obstacles – maybe a hula hoop to jump through, a slalom course to weave around, a line to cross backwards, or a pile of cushions to bounce over. Who can stay in the sack? Who hops the fastest? Ready, set, jump!

Flying a Kite
Flying a Kite

Do you feel the wind? Perfect, then today is the day to fly your kite. Find a wide, open field or a hill and grab your kite. Let the string out gently and watch as it soars higher and higher into the sky. Maybe it dances in the wind, makes wild turns, or hovers majestically above, looking down at you. You can even build your own kite – there are plenty of tutorials and videos online to guide you step by step. Choose the shape, pick the colors, and make it uniquely yours. The wind is your friend, so hold on tight and enjoy the feeling of stepping into the world above, where your kite leads you on an adventure in the sky.

Building an Obstacle Course
Building an Obstacle Course

Everything you need is already outside – branches to balance on, stones to jump over, or ropes to climb through. Whether in the garden, the forest, or the park, there are endless possibilities waiting for you. Create obstacles that challenge you – climb, jump, crawl, and test your limits. (Just make sure everything is safe and not too high.) It’s not about being perfect, but about having fun and trying something new. If you're looking for even bigger challenges, take a look around – there are obstacle courses everywhere, waiting to be conquered, in nature and in the city. This is your chance to show the world the acrobat in you!
